英語語法學習：常見介詞的差異

在很多場合，有些介詞的含義相似，但用法有差異，容易混淆，這就需要我們弄清楚它們各自的特點和差異。

比如in,at,on都有“在……”的含義，但是它們的用法是有判別的。

in指“在……(大地方)”：in China, in the world, in London

at指“在……(小地方)”：at home, atschool, at he door

on指“在……(的表面上)”：on the desk,on the river, on the book

不過，“大地方”和“小地方”的概念並不十分明確，帶有很強的主觀性，這就要看英美人是怎麼具體運用的。

×arrive in China

√arrive at China

×arrive in Beijing

√arrive at Beijing

at指“在……(時刻)”：at 10， at 18：30，atdawn(黎明時分)

on指“在……(某日)”：on Monday, on holiday,on weekend

in指“在……(某段時間)”：in the morning, in a week(month, year)

但是本該用in的卻必須用on(受近旁單詞的影響)：

√on Sunday afternoon

×in Sunday afternoon

√on the afternoon of July 5

×in the afternoon of July 5

between指“在(兩者)之間”：between you and me

among指“在(三者或者三者以上)之間”：among you, him and me

有的介詞雖然有某種含義，但某些場合不適合用。比如在路牌上標明方向就不用for(前往)，必須用to:

前往王府井

×For Wangfujing

√To Wangfujing

贈送禮品時寫：

√For Jane

×To Jane

贈送給亨利，瑪麗送寫：

×To Henry by Mary

√To Henry from Mary
