The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags whenwe go shopping. It helps to protect the environment. The second thing we can dois to reuse(再利用) the old textbooks as possible as we can. We should also neverforget to turn off the lights when we leave the classrooms in order to ’s more, it would be better if we walk or ride a bike to school. Weshould try our best to reduce pollution and waste.

How to protect the environment?
Today there is more and more pollution and the environment is becomingworse and worse. So we have to know how to protect the environment. Here aresome ways.
First, we can stop driving our personal cars. We can go to school or workon foot or by bus. Not only can it protect environment, but also it is good forour health.
Second, we are not supposed to throw around litter anywhere. Instead, weshould put them into the dustbin. And it’s best to pick up the litter on theground when we see them.
Third, we should save the paper, the water, the food and so on. Fourth, weshould protect the trees and we should plant more trees.
I think if everyone does something to protect the environment, our worldwill be much better.
I’m Mike. I am a student in Huaxing Middle School. Do you know the plasticbags? Do you often use the plastic bags? I don’t like them. I think they use thewasting valuable oil their production. And they can’t decompose(分解) in a shorttime. The plastic bags will make our world worse. I agree with the rule, whichpeople can’t get the free plastic bags in the shops, supermarkets. It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities. Rubbish must bethrown away or reused properly. Or it may cause a lot of problems. It maypollute the air and water. People may get ill when they breathe the polluted airor drink the polluted water.

The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. People talking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and screaming. To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem. More people, more pollution. And the big population is threatening the nature every second.

The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase. People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.

Low carbon life is to reduce carbon in the air. We know that when we burn something to make electricity, we make the air dirty and increase the carbon dioxide; when we drive cars, the carbon dioxide is also increased.
Because of the high-consumption and high-pollution economy, the population increases quickly and the global climate changes repeatedly. The resources that people rely on to survive become less and less. Those are having a bad effect on our health, making us unhealthy. Therefore, low carbon life is important to us.
As a student, we should develop good habits in our daily lives. We can select products with longer shift life when we shop. This can reduce waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Paper cups are made from cutting forests. We should try not to use them, or select the smaller ones when we do because trees can absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas. Generally speaking, there are four sorts of waste. They are material waste, organic waste, inorganic waste and poisonous & harmful waste. Now, we are going to talk about each sort of waste one by one.
Material waste: it means the waste of substance or things from which something else can be made. For example, people throw away the used metal products and buy a new one, so the old metal waste accumulates. At last, they become waste. For example, when people finish reading newspaper, the paper will become waste. When the glass is broken, it also becomes waste. Nobody wants to use a broken window or drink with a broken glass or wear a pair of broken glasses. Once it is broken, it becomes waste. The rate of using plastics is increasing day by day. People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called “white pollution” as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. However, it also brings us some trouble when it has been used for a long time and becomes old. The old tyres become waste because it can’t break down by nature. This is really a big problem.
