We cannot lose innovation
There is a wonderful word which expresses the most original motions and desires among human-beings. With solving any kind of imperfections, our world has moved ahead. This is the word “innovation” that we cannot afford to lose.
We chicaned every detail of the innovation. Thousands years before, we created fire when we took a stone to knock another one. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. So how did these happen? What will you do if you are not satisfied with your tools anymore? What will you do if old mode cannot afford to develop in a company? There is no doubt that we should innovate no matter where we are and what we do. Not because of the design itself, but actually for its intended purpose.
If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing.
If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. If there was no Newton, and no theory of gravity, maybe I will win the Nobel Prize like Newton rather than just standing here. I have heard that three apple changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple. I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, right? Have the innovation to follow your heart. It somehow already reflects what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
Via questioning, we can start to innovate. Via innovating, we can start to create better lives. No innovation, no improvement. No improvement, no success. And no success, no civilization. Now, our time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life! Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice! Don't let yourself down! It is the innovation that we cannot afford to lose!

我們的每一個細節的創新詭計。幾千年前，我們用石頭打另一個火，我們生火。自漢代以來，四大發明創造出來，是中國古代文明的偉大標誌之一。而如今，數以千計的軟件、產品、建築和公共設施已經超過120xx年前的升級了。那麼這些是怎麼發生的呢?如果你不滿意你的工具，你會怎麼做?如果老模式不能在一個公司中發展，你會做什麼?毫無疑問，無論我們在哪裏，我們做什麼，我們都要創新。不是因為設計本身，而是為了它的目的。
如果沒有蘋果，每個人都無法想象如何與其他人接觸，並享受一個更好的上網衝浪。

When I was asked about this question for the first time ,without thinking it too much ,a word flash into my mind ——DREAM ,le more or less dream about different things ,to be a teacher ,a doctor ,a scientist ,a businessman and so on these people who have dreams should be respected ,because Dreams make the world go around grow great by our big men are great dreamers in their yone has a dream ,and everything starts as one’s daydream.
Martin Luther king had a desired for a future where blacks and whites would coexist harmoniously as speaking the way he did,he educated,he inspired,he informed not just the people there,but people throughout America and unborn pushed forward the pace of American black society towards the racial equality .
Thomas Edison had a dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity,began where he stood to put his dream into action,and despite more than ten thousand failures,he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality!And today,his dream lights up the world at night.
Walt Disney had a ,in itself,wasn't unusual -- he was always dreamed of making the first animated feature film,and of building an amusement park that parents could enjoy right along with their Disney empowered his dream and today,Disneyland,Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each and every year.
John edy had a wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to earth so as to restore faith in the American way of edy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on the face of the moon landing certainly gave Americans new found confidence.

創新其實是一個夢想。
中國古代曾有一個人，揹負紙做的翅膀，義無反顧地縱身跳下高高的山崖，希冀像鳥兒一樣飛翔在晴空。在粉身碎骨跳下的一瞬間，他是否隱約看到了碧空中可以自由翱翔的飛機?
英國有一位作家，在他一生的作品中，盡情幻想，將熱氣球、潛水艇、電報提前了幾十、甚至幾百年帶入我們的生活。在凡爾納下筆的一剎那，他是否已經預先看到了遙遠的未來?
夢想標示着豐富的想象力，想象力為創新提供源泉。創新從夢想中蜕變，以夢想為根，受夢想澆灌。像永不失天真的愛因斯坦吹出的肥皂泡，在空冥的大地上，不斷破滅又不斷上升。
創新需要懷疑與批判。
懷疑是創新的萌芽，批判是創新的成長。在懷疑中發現錯誤，在批判中改正錯誤，創新才能完成。然而懷疑的精神、批判的勇氣，人們為之付出了太多太多。

有時候，創新並不是很難，説不準什麼時候，一個思想的火花閃過，創新就來到眼前。可火花不能長久，創新卻要求永恆。於是創新要求深刻的思考，追求本質的東西，要求我們更進一步地去挖掘它具有的創新意識。
然而挖掘不是最難，最難的是那意識的產生。你一定遊過泳，一定玩過水，你一定感受到過水的壓力，但你能説，你可以造出浮力定律嗎?甚至你敢説，會想到用水來稱象嗎?恐怕不敢吧?生活中許多事情就是這樣，在你經歷時，就已觸摸到創新的邊緣了，然而我們卻沒有那個觀念，有意識地將創新完成。
作為大學生，我們的知識仍然貧乏，也許我們不能有多少偉大的具體的創新。但是我們一定要培養我們的創新意識。這意識中包含着許多內容。首先，我們要學會夢想，學會不為現實堵塞我們的天真，不時地做一做童年的夢，想一想飛上火星的浪漫，想一想生活於外太空的美妙。不要只盯着別墅、跑車，做物質的奴隸。然後，讓我們學會懷疑與批判。不要嚇倒在老師那威嚴的面孔下，不要認為凡是印成了鉛字的東西就是真理。昆德拉説：“人類一思考，上帝就發笑。”相信自己，堅持懷疑，敢於批判，不懼權威，方顯英雄本色。再次，讓我們深沉一下，穩重一點，不妨壓抑一下青春的律動，多思考一些東西，多研究一些學問，不要有了一個奇特的創意，一個未聞的發現就妄自高興，而到實踐時卻束手無策。最後也是最重要的，就是要培養自己的創新意識，尤其是對專業中新事物的敏感度。倫琴因為一張被感光了的底片，意識到X射線的存在，最終獲得第一屆諾貝爾獎，牛頓因為一隻落下的蘋果而發現萬有引力。他們對於專業的敏鋭，是我們在學習中真正要掌握到手的知識。
認識創新。“認”是一個認知，明白其表象的過程;而“識”是一個理解，探索其本質含義的過程。認識創新，我們不僅僅要“認”，更重要的是要“識”。

我相信在座的很多朋友都看過 “于丹《莊子》心得”這個節目，其中有個故事讓我很受啟發，説的是，惠子啊，有一天去見莊子，説我家有一個大葫蘆，有五石之大。要是把它一劈兩半，當瓢去盛水的話，這個葫蘆皮太薄，往上一舉它就碎了。反正用它盛什麼東西都不行，這葫蘆大得沒什麼用處。莊子告訴他説，你怎麼就認為它非要劈開當瓢使呢?如果它是一個完整的大葫蘆，你為什麼不把它系在腰間，用它當做游泳圈呢?你可以去浮游於江海啊，帶着一個大葫蘆自由自在的去漂泊!這個故事啟發我們，在現實生活中，境界的大小決定了對事物的判斷，也可以完全改變一個人的命運，我們要站在大境界上，懂得換一個角度去思考問題，想想我們待人接物的方式是否可以改變，想想我們的工作方法是否能夠改進，想想我們所掌握的技能是否還可能再提高。朋友們，一個人要想成功，首先要有創新的意識，只要你擁有創新的夢想和激情，成功之門就始終為你敞開着，生命一定會更加精彩!
《亞洲華爾街日報》總編曾這樣描述馬雲他們創業初期的工作環境，“沒日沒夜地工作，地上有一個睡袋，誰累了就鑽進去睡一會兒。”但是，崇尚武俠精神的馬雲具有非凡的勇氣和毅力，用他手中的利劍披荊斬棘，開闢出了一條通過成功之巔的康莊大道，最終笑傲江湖，成為一位“絕世高手”，抒寫了商界的一段神話!每個人都想讓自己的生命更加精彩，卻常常陷入困境和迷茫，但只要擁有激情和夢想，堅持不懈的創新，總有一扇門為你打開着——那就是成功之門!

There is no creativity without imagination. With the development of the society, creativity becomes more and more important. People could not satisfy with ordinary life. So we need creativity to meet their requirements. We can see significance of the creativity from an example. The smart phone—iphone spread all over the world. That was the creativity of The Apple Inc. It is obvious that it will produce a bigger profit than common manufacturing. But, hao can we acquire creativity?
沒有想象力就沒有創造力。隨着社會的發展，創造力變得越來越重要。人們已經不能滿足於日常生活。所以我們需要不斷的創新來滿足他們的需求。通過一個例子我們可以知道創造力的意義。蘋果智能手機的使用遍及全世界。這就是蘋果公司的創新。很顯然，這項創新產生了巨大的利潤比起普通的製造業。但是我們怎樣才能獲得創造力?
I think the creativity roots in imagination. Albert Einstein said that imagination is important than knowledge. Because we should creative a thing that is never appeared, we need to image. Use all the things and information around us to think and then go to achieve it. Without the imagination of the Wright brothers , human could not complete the flying dreams. Without the imagination of the Alexander Graham Bell, we could not hear the voice from a distance. If the creativity can make the human progress, imagination will be the road to success. Where the imagination come from? Knowledge ? Experience ? practice? I consider that all of them are indispensable. It is often said that knowledge is power. So we should empower ourselves with knowledge. After that we need to obtain experience form. practice. These are the basis, and we must strengthen them to extend our imagination.
我認為創造力紮根於想象力。愛因斯坦曾經説過，想象力遠遠比知識更重要。因為我們要創造一個事物，以前從沒有出現過的，因此我們需要想象。利用我們周圍所有的事物以及信息去想象，然後去完成它。 沒有萊特兄弟的想象力，人類就不能實現飛天的夢想;沒有貝爾的想象力，我們就不能聽到來自遠方的聲音。如果説創造力可以使人進步，那麼想象力就是通向成功的道路。想象力來自哪裏?知識?經驗?

That was the creativity of The Apple Inc. It is obvious that it will produce a bigger profit than common manufacturing. But, hao can we acquire creativity?

I think the creativity roots in imagination. Albert Einstein said that imagination is important than knowledge. Because we should creative a thing that is never appeared, we need to image. Use all the things and information around us to think and then go to achieve it. Without the imagination of the Wright brothers , human could not complete the flying dreams. Without the imagination of the Alexander Graham Bell, we could not hear the voice from a distance. If the creativity can make the human progress, imagination will be the road to success. Where the imagination come from? Knowledge ? Experience ? practice? I consider that all of them are indispensable. It is often said that knowledge is power. So we should empower ourselves with knowledge. After that we need to obtain experience form. practice. These are the basis, and we must strengthen them to extend our imagination.

It's nice to be back at Princeton. I find it difficult to believe that it's been almost 11 years since I departed these halls for Washington. Some years ago I had a colleague who sent three kids through Princeton even though neither he nor his wife attended this university. He and his spouse were very proud of that accomplishment, as they should have been. But my colleague also used to say that, from a financial perspective, the experience was like buying a new Cadillac every year and then driving it off a cliff. I should say that he always added that he would do it all over again in a minute. This is indeed an impressive and appropriate setting for a commencement. I am sure that, from this lectern, any number of distinguished spiritual leaders have ruminated on the lessons of the Ten Commandments. I don't have that kind of confidence, and, anyway, coveting your neighbor's ox or donkey is not the problem it used to be, so I thought I would use my few minutes today to make Ten Suggestions, or maybe just Ten Observations, about the world and your lives after Princeton. Please note, these points have nothing whatsoever to do with interest rates. My qualification for making such suggestions, or observations, besides having kindly been invited to speak today by President Tilghman, is the same as the reason that your obnoxious brother or sister got to go to bed later--I am older than you. 1. The poet Robert Burns once said something about the best-laid plans of mice and men ganging aft agley, whatever "agley" means. A more contemporary philosopher, Forrest Gump, said something similar about life and boxes of chocolates and not knowing what you are going to get. They were both right. Life is amazingly unpredictable; any 22-year-old who thinks he or she knows where they will be in 10 years, much less in 30, is simply lacking imagination. Look what happened to me: A dozen years ago I was minding my own business teaching Economics 101 in Alexander Hall and trying to think of good excuses for avoiding faculty meetings. Then I got a phone call... In case you are skeptical of Forrest Gump's insight, here's a concrete suggestion for each of the graduating seniors. Take a few minutes the first chance you get and talk to an alum participating in his or her 25th, or 30th, or 40th reunion--you know, somebody who was near the front of the P-rade. Ask them, back when they were graduating 25, 30, or 40 years ago, where they expected to be today. If you can get them to open up, they will tell you that today they are happy and satisfied in various measures, or not, and their personal stories will be filled with highs and lows and in-betweens. But, I am willing to bet, those life stories will in almost all cases be quite different, in large and small ways, from what they expected when they started out. This is a good thing, not a bad thing; who wants to know the end of a story that's only in its early chapters? 2. Does the fact that our lives are so influenced by chance and seemingly small decisions and actions mean that there is no point to planning, to striving? Not at all. Whatever life may have in store for you, each of you has a grand, lifelong project, and that is the development of yourself as a human being. Your family and friends and your time at Princeton have given you a good start. What will you do with it? Will you keep learning and thinking hard and critically about the most important questions? Will you become an emotionally stronger person, more generous, more loving, more ethical? Will you involve yourself actively and constructively in the world? Many things will happen in your lives, pleasant and not so pleasant, but, paraphrasing a Woodrow Wilson School adage from the time I was here, "Wherever you go, there you are." 3. The concept of success leads me to consider so-called meritocracies and their implications. We have been taught that meritocratic institutions and societies are fair. Putting aside the reality that no system, including our own, is really entirely meritocratic, meritocracies may be fairer and more efficient than some alternatives. But fair in an absolute sense? Think about it. A meritocracy is a system in which the people who are the luckiest in their health and genetic endowment; luckiest in terms of family support, encouragement, and, probably, income; luckiest in their educational and career opportunities; and luckiest in so many other ways difficult to enumerate--these are the folks who reap the largest rewards. The only way for even a putative meritocracy to hope to pass ethical muster, to be considered fair, is if those who are the luckiest in all of those respects also have the greatest responsibility to work hard, to contribute to the betterment of the world, and to share their luck with others. As the Gospel of Luke says (and I am sure my rabbi will forgive me for quoting the New Testament in a good cause): "From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded" (Luke 12:48, New Revised Standard Version Bible). 4. Who is worthy of admiration? The admonition from Luke--which is shared by most ethical and philosophical traditions, by the way--helps with this question as well. Those most worthy of admiration are those who have made the best use of their advantages or, alternatively, coped most courageously with their adversities. I think most of us would agree that people who have, say, little formal schooling but labor honestly and diligently to help feed, clothe, and educate their families are deserving of greater respect--and help, if necessary--than many people who are superficially more successful. 5. Since I have covered what I know about sociology, I might as well say something about political science as well. In regard to politics, I have always liked Lily Tomlin's line, in paraphrase: "I try to be cynical, but I just can't keep up." We all feel that way sometime. Actually, having been in Washington now for almost 11 years, as I mentioned, I feel that way quite a bit. Ultimately, though, cynicism is a poor substitute for critical thought and constructive action. Sure, interests and money and ideology all matter, as you learned in political science. But my experience is that most of our politicians and policymakers are trying to do the right thing, according to their own views and consciences, most of the time. If you think that the bad or indifferent results that too often come out of Washington are due to base motives and bad intentions, you are giving politicians and policymakers way too much credit for being effective. Honest error in the face of complex and possibly intractable problems is a far more important source of bad results than are bad motives. For these reasons, the greatest forces in Washington are ideas, and people prepared to act on those ideas. Public service isn't easy. 6. Having taken a stab at sociology and political science, let me wrap up economics while I'm at it. Economics is a highly sophisticated field of thought that is superb at explaining to policymakers precisely why the choices they made in the past were wrong. About the future, not so much. However, careful economic analysis does have one important benefit, which is that it can help kill ideas that are completely logically inconsistent or wildly at variance with the data. 9. I spoke earlier about definitions of personal success in an unpredictable world. I hope that as you develop your own definition of success, you will be able to do so, if you wish, with a close companion on your journey. In making that choice, remember that physical beauty is evolution's way of assuring us that the other person doesn't have too many intestinal parasites. Don't get me wrong, I am all for beauty, romance, and sexual attraction--where would Hollywood and Madison Avenue be without them? But while important, those are not the only things to look for in a partner. The two of you will have a long trip together, I hope, and you will need each other's support and sympathy more times than you can count. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word, it is victory. Let that be realized, no survival for the British Empire, no survival for all that British Empire has stood for , no survival for the urge, the impulse of the ages, that mankind shall more forward toward his goal. I take up my task in buoyancy and hope. I feel sure that our cause will not be suffered to fail among men. I feel entitled at this juncture, at this time, to claim the aid of all and to say, “Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength.”

Shanghai residents breathed the most polluted air they had seen in two months on Wednesday as weak cold air from the north brought pollutants to the Yangtze River Delta.
But clean air is expected on Thursday thanks to another round of cold air, forecasters said.
Seasonal factors played an important role as winter is the high pollution season, and straw burning in nearby provinces also contributed to the pollution, experts said.
Shanghai's air quality index, a new air quality reporting system that monitors sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, PM10 and PM2.5, reached 254 by 7 pm on Wednesday.
The figure, which indicated the air had reached the level of heavy pollution, was the highest seen since the index was introduced two months ago, according to the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center.
Shanghai's hourly density of PM2.5, air particles smaller than 2.5 microns, also reached 250 micrograms per cubic meter by 10 am, while the reading was only 60 micrograms per cubic meter early Tuesday morning.
The heavy pollution in the eastern metropolis followed thick air pollution in Beijing over the weekend. Beijing's density of PM2.5 broke the record since the municipality began publishing the data in early 20xx as its figure went higher than 900 micrograms per cubic meter in several districts of the city on Saturday.
Lin Chenyan, a forecaster with Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, said the cold front brought in airborne pollutants from the north.
"The cold snap is like a broom sweeping down all the way to Shanghai, and it brings the dust here," said Lin, adding that atmospheric motion sometimes causes trouble such as that.
Before arriving in Shanghai, the pollutants had left some of Shanghai's neighboring provinces shrouded in smog and fog.
Fifty out of the 72 monitoring stations in Jiangsu province reported medium to heavy pollution on Monday evening, according to Zhang Xiangzhi, deputy director of the Jiangsu Environmental Monitoring Center.
Yang Xin, a professor with Fudan University's department of environmental science and engineering who specializes in atmospheric particulates, said seasonal influences explain the record-breaking data in both Beijing and Shanghai.
"Take Shanghai as an example. It just celebrated its cleanest summer in 20xx - sea breeze from the southeast is helpful in diluting pollutants in the air. However, the monsoons coming from the northwest in the winter usually bring dirty air from the north," Yang said.
Agricultural straw burning in nearby areas also contributed to part of Shanghai's PM2.5 reading, according to Wang Lin, a researcher at Fudan University's Department of Environmental Science and Engineering.
"But it's hard for the Shanghai government to prohibit farmers in the neighboring regions from doing so," Wang said.
According to Lin, the forecaster, Shanghai's air was set to improve on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. The next wave of cold air is much cleaner because of the clearing of air pollution in the north.
