同學們，談到父親節，我們應當知道它的由來。
19xx年，居住在華盛頓的布魯斯。多德夫人，在慶賀母親節時產生了一個念頭：既然有個母親節，為什麼不能有個父親節呢?
多德夫人和他的5個弟弟早年喪母，是由父親一手撫養大的。多少年過去了，姐弟6人每逢父親的生辰忌日，總回憶慈父含辛茹苦養家的情景。在拉斯馬斯博士的支援下，她提筆給州政府寫了一封言辭懇切的信，呼籲建立父親節，並建議將節日定在6月5日她父親生日這天。州政府採納了她的建議，倉促間將父親節定為19日，即19xx年6月第3個星期日。第2年，多德夫人所在的斯坡堪市正式慶祝這一節日，市長宣佈了父親節的文告，定這天為全州紀念日。以後，其他州也慶賀父親節。在父親節這天，人們選擇特定的鮮花來表示對父親的敬意。人們採納了多德夫人的建議，佩戴紅玫瑰向健在的父親們表示愛戴，佩戴白玫瑰對故去的父親表示悼念。後來在溫哥華，人們選擇了佩戴白丁香，賓夕法尼亞人用蒲公英向父親表示致意。為了使父親節法律化，各方面強烈呼籲議會承認這個節日。1972年，尼克松總統正式簽署了建立父親節的議會決議。這個節日以法律形式定下來。
同學們，這個節日雖然是由外國人率先設立的，但它表達了全世界人民對父親的尊敬和對長輩的愛戴，因此，我們也應當記住這樣的節日。

大家回顧一下自己的成長曆程，教我們堅強、教我們自立、教我們樹雄心立大志的一定是父親，從這個意義上說，父愛如山。父親是勇氣和力量的源泉，是希望和信心的化身。尤其在做人，求學的歲月裡，他留給我們的是堅強和忍耐、如同巨石山峰，能抵擋住風雨的洗禮，雷電的怒吼，波濤的洶湧。無論春夏秋冬，不管天南海北，我們在哪兒，父愛就延伸到那裡。父愛還是一片寧靜的港灣，當我們失落時，他能給予我們信心，勇氣和力量;父愛更是一本書，當我們長大以後，再次開啟它，一定會讀懂父親那顆最深沉、最熱烈的心。
母愛有聲、父愛無言，父愛可能就藏在憤怒的呵斥中，也可能藏在打你的巴掌裡，無論它藏在哪裡，我們一定要理解父親那深沉的愛啊!
