Today, I have a speech for everyone, "I grew up with books." Book, allowing you more intelligent; books, textbooks can not tell you things. After reading a book, like a piece of mining wealth. As you book the most loyal friends, but also a one of your other textbooks, books, can tell you that learning, knowledge, life insights, the book that lets you knowledgeable.
What kind of books to choose, often vary from person to person. We can according to their own interests and hobbies, choose suitable reading materials. Of course, a person's interests and hobbies can be adopted to develop the study.
Book back to me a lot of inspiration. I "on its own success" in the know to step up a second time, when to have a normal heart; I am from the "little story of great wisdom" to know a lot of celebrities in the growth of experience and growth allow people to feel admiration for the story.
Book is your friend, your family. As long as you are willing to find that is willing to explore. You must be from the book of Revelation that many textbooks have not learned so much knowledge! Let us work together in the book world book of knowledge as small fish, like sea travel it together!

Everyone! Now I want to talk about a beautiful world!
When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our could hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was! As is known to all , we have a beautiful world can see the sun shining. we can see the moon in a full view. we can see the birds flying in the sky. we can see the horses running on the plain. But that only was a dream of mine! The world is not as beautiul as before, for human beings have brought a disaster to the I wish that it would be come true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment.
However, there are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern the one hand, the environment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modern world. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word, there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
Of course ,not only government but also everyone should make a contribution to protect the you ever thrown any litter onto the groundHave you ever drawn pictures on public wallsHave you ever cut down treesIf your answers are "No",it means that you have already helped protect our environment. Protecting our environment is everyone's business.
Thank you !

Our new president Xi Jinping came up with the dream of the Chinese nation's rejuvenation on December 29, 2019. He said: the Chinese dream is a dream of national strength prosperity and people's happiness. Our people have an ardent love for life. They wish to have better education, more stable jobs, more income, greater social security , better medical and health care, improved housing conditions and better environment,They want their children to grow well, have ideal jobs and lead a more enjoyable life. To meet their desire for a happy life is our mission."
He also expounded his views of realizing our great dream. He said: To realize the dream, China must take the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The country must also foster the Chinese spirit,in which patriotism and the spirit of reform and innovation play a core role, and unite 1.3 billion people of all ethnicities into a great source of strength.
I always ask myself what can I do for our great Chinese dream ? As we all know that the wiser the youths are ,the wiser the nation will be;the wealthier the youths are ,the wealthier the nation will be;the stronger the youths are ,the stronger the nation will be. Here the word wealthy means: enriching our knowledge reserve. As a new generation of science, every one here shouldering the great historical mission of making china powerful and strong. You may say that this may exaggerate our role, but I want to say you are wrong. If I am a little screw our great dream may be a multifunction and complex machine. Through this example I just want to say I am very tiny but I am indispensable .
President Xi also said: We must make persistent efforts, press ahead with indomitable will, continue to push forward the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and strive to achieve the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese are closer than in any other time of history to the goal of rejuvenating the Chinese nation. We are more confident and capable of achieving this goal than in any other period of history," “.””
I believe that as long as all of our university students unite together and perform our own functions that study hard in school and work hard after we graduating from university . we must be able to achieve our great dream meanwhile enrich ourselves unwittingly! lets us unite together to realize Chinese nation's great rejuvenation to struggle!

Leo Tolstoy once said, everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand that changes the world or benefits all of mankind example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children, we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? We use nasty words and even spit on the ground in front of them, I dare to say, we harm more!
In my opinion, before we decide to change the world, we had better change ourselves first. As ordinary individuals, we do not have the power to change the world. But we can change our habit of littering, spitting, cussing, we can respect the environment around us, we must act as good models for our kids.
If each of us does all of these little things, all of us, millions and millions of individuals together, together we will be strong …strong enough to change our world!
So please, the next time you do something, think how your actions influence not only you, but those around you too, especially our children …and perhaps more importantly…our planet!

My Mother is a kind and gentle woman. She is always very gentle. She takesgood care of her children and keeps them all at school. I have one brother andtwo sistets. So she gets four children in all. She gives us every comfort. Weall love her and she loves us also.
My mother has too much to do in bringing us up. As our family is too poorto keep a servant, my mother has always to do very much work. She gets up veryearly and sleeps very late every day. She works hard, yet withoutcomplaining.
She is also a thrifty, and industrious woman. She saves every cent that shecan and keeps everything in order. As she has been busy eversince she was young, she looks older than she really is. Her face is wrinkled, her hair becomessilver white, but she works as hard as ever.
Often she says to us, work while you work, play while you play. If you donot work, you will become lazy and of no use to society. What piece of goodadvice this is! We must worth it well and always keep it in our mind.

The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival,or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 wasthought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 wasthought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in bothmonth and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong inChinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the wordto signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it anauspicious day worth celebration. That's why ancient Chinese began to celebratethis festival long time ago. The custom of ascending a height to avoid epidemicswas passed down from long time ago. Therefore, the Double Ninth Festival is alsocalled Height Ascending Festival. The height people will reach is usually amountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting theactivity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains onthis day.

since the quality of honesty applies to all behaviors, one cannot refuse to consider factual information, for example, in an unbiased manner and still claim that one's knowledge, belief or position is an attempt to be truthful. such a belief is clearly a product of one's desires and simply has nothing to do with the human ability to know. basing one's positions on what one wants — rather than unbiased evidence gathering — is dishonest even when good intentions can be cited — after all even hitler could cite good intentions and intended glory for a select group of people. clearly then, an unbiased approach to the truth is a requirement of honesty.
human beings are inherently biased about what they believe to be good due to individual tastes & backgrounds, but once one understands that a decidedly biased approach to what is true — is inherently dishonest, one can also understand how idealism and ideology have poorly served the quest for an honest, moral society. both honesty and morality require that we base our opinions about what is good — upon unbiased ideas of what is true — rather than vice versa
(determining what is true based on what we feel is good) — the way all ideologies would have us believe.

i have the answer to a question that we've all asked. the question is, why is it that the letter x represents the unknown? now i know we learned that in math class, but now it's everywhere in the culture -- the x prize, the x-files, project x, tedx. where'd that come from?
about six years ago i decided that i would learn arabic, which turns out to be a supremely logical language. to write a word or a phrase or a sentence in arabic is like crafting an equation, because every part is extremely precise and carries a lot of information. that's one of the reasons so much of what we've come to think of as western science and mathematics and engineering was really worked out in the first few centuries of the common era by the persians and the arabs and the turks.
this includes the little system in arabic called al-jebra. and al-jebr roughly translates to “the system for reconciling disparate parts.“ al-jebr finally came into english as algebra. one example among many.
the arabic texts containing this mathematical wisdom finally made their way to europe -- which is to say spain -- in the 11th and 12th centuries. and when they arrived there was tremendous interest in translating this wisdom into a european language.
but there were problems. one problem is there are some sounds in arabic that just don't make it through a european voice box without lots of practice. trust me on that one. also, those very sounds tend not to be represented by the characters that are available in european languages.
here's one of the culprits. this is the letter sheen, and it makes the sound we think of as sh -- “sh.“ it's also the very first letter of the word shalan, which means “something“ just like the the english word “something“ -- some undefined, unknown thing.
now in arabic, we can make this definite by adding the definite article “al.“ so this is al-shalan -- the unknown thing. and this is a word that appears throughout early mathematics, such as this 10th century derivation of proofs.
the problem for the medieval spanish scholars who were tasked with translating this material is that the letter sheen and the word shalan can't be rendered into spanish because spanish doesn't have that sh, that “sh“ sound. so by convention, they created a rule in which they borrowed the ck sound, “ck“ sound, from the classical greek in the form of the letter kai.
later when this material was translated into a common european language, which is to say latin, they simply replaced the greek kai with the latin x. and once that happened, once this material was in latin, it formed the basis for mathematics textbooks for almost 600 years.
but now we have the answer to our question. why is it that x is the unknown? x is the unknown because you can't say “sh“ in spanish. (laughter) and i thought that was worth sharing.

Good morning:Honorable judges, dear teachers and close friends. I’m very glad to stand here to share my speech with you. Today I’m going to talk about Love and Take care of life on the earth has a long and touching evolutionary story. From the origin, the lives of the human being are equal to those of others; they both are the composing parts of Mother Nature. Nevertheless, for some inexplicable reasons, the human becomes the spirits of all creatures. Of course, it is the result of the evolution, but still we should be grateful to all our companions in nature for the opportunity they offer. In spite of this, humans cannot live without earth.
They live on the earth, drink the sweet water, and enjoy the sunshine, the air, the sky, the fruit; the grains utilize the energy and so on. In a word, the human being cannot live without nature, and Mother Nature makes us grow stronger. I do not like the word "Pet", but preferring the word "Animal" instead. I have been loving animal since I was just a little boy. When thinking of the "Pet Fashion", I always feel much annoyed. For the animals will be given a shackle and lose their liberty if they become someone's pets. Their natural attribution can be deprived, too. Up to now, relying on their scientific power, the human have opened up too much and over developed nature, in order to fill up their growing appetites of wealth.
They destroy the balance of nature, however, they don't realize, their own development and existence will be threatened. Therefore, our sights should be focused on nature and we should try to develop the concept of "keeping human and nature in unity". We should lay emphasis on our education with consider cultural and natural emotion. To use the vivid example to wake up the conscience in people's hearts.

f is clearly a product of one's desires and simply has nothing to do with the human ability to know. basing one's positions on what one wants — rather than unbiased evidence gathering — is dishonest even when good intentions can be cited — after all even hitler could cite good intentions and intended glory for a select group of people. clearly then, an unbiased approach to the truth is a requirement of honesty.
because intentions are closely related to fairness and certainly affect the degree of honesty/dishonesty, there is a wide spread confusion about honesty--and a general belief that being dishonest means that one always correctly understands if their behavior is either honest or dishonest. self-perception of our morality is non-static and volatile. it's often at the moment we refuse to consider other perspectives that there is a clear indication we are not pursuing the truth, rather than simply and exclusively at the moment we can muster up evidence that we are right. socrates had much to say about truth, honesty and morality, and explained that if people really understood that their behavior was wrong — then they simply wouldn't do it — by definition. unfortunately, honesty in the western tradition has been marginalized to specific instances — perhaps because a thorough understanding of honesty collides with ideologies of all types. ideologies and idealism often exaggerate and suppress evidence in order to support their perspectives — at the expense of the truth. this process erodes the practice and understanding of honesty. to an ideologist the truth quite often becomes insignificant, what matters most are their ideals and what ever supports their desires to enjoy and spread those ideals.
human beings are inherently biased about what they believe to be good due to individual tastes & backgrounds, but once one understands that a decidedly biased approach to what is true — is inherently dishonest, one can also understand how idealism and ideology have poorly served the quest for an honest, moral society. both honesty and morality require that we base our opinions about what is good — upon unbiased ideas of what is true — rather than vice versa (determining what is true based on what we feel is good) — the way all ideologies would have us believe.

Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money, it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative efforts, the joy and moral stimulation of work no longer must be forgotten in the mad chase of evanescent profits. These dark days, my friends, will be worth all they cost us, if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered on to , but to minister to ourselves, to our fellow men.

Success is made up of one percent talent and ninety-nine percent effort.
The process of climbing is hard, but the scenery of the top is different than it in the bottom of the order to see the scenery of the top, we must overcome all difficulties bravely thing easy to say , but difficult to do. The peak looks so far away from our, the leg is so painful, and others say that, forget it, you can't climb up, quickly stop and rest.
So, the higher of the mountain, the fewer people. But, could we give up the scenery of the peak? although Success is far away, but there it is, it hands to us ,and encourage us to persist a while, the most beautiful scenery will belong to us. So, no matter how tired, no matter how hard, we still adhere to the teeth, until success. Like Chris Gardner, in order to survive, to his son, he works very hard, although so tired that even want to give up, but he knew, giving up is a thorough failure, means coming back to the origin, losting hope at the same time. You got a dream, you gonna protect it. When we at the most hard time, hold on for a moment, will be the most beautiful scenery.
Successful people will never give up after the storm, rather than born with the ability to got ks!
關於成長的主題英語演講稿 篇15
honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, good morning.
first of all, let me take this chance to present to you a set of data that i hope won't bore you since the source is china daily.
china's tourism revenue last year reached 500 billion rmb, an increase of 10.5 percent from the year before, and comprised more than 5% of china's gdp. according to experts, this number will grow to 8% in the coming ten years and more than 40 million jobs will be created.
as a student majoring in economics, i can't be more sensitive to the essential meanings behind these numbers. they mean progress, prosperity, employment and stability.
however, as a conscientious chinese and citizen of the world, i can't help but care more about the losses incurred in this transaction, by which i mean the disturbing images of environmental destruction, which leads to ecological crisis. the global environment has changed for the worse during the past few years, and tourism is partly to blame. take china for example, in order to attract tourists, many unknown places are built into resorts. forests are cleared, prairies trampled, rivers and lakes 6)contaminated, wild animals are driven away, plants jeopardized and secluded populations disturbed.
if this seems too remote and abstract, my own traveling experience may speak louder here. last year i took a tour around emei mountain in sichuan province. like most tourists, i was eager to embrace nature and enjoy its beauty. however, as soon as i got on the bus, the stench of gasoline and the noise of the engine tainted my appreciation of the wonderful scenery and the tranquility of the country road. when we finally arrived, what i saw was not a beautiful landscape but crowds of people; what i heard was not the melodious singing of birds, but yelling and bargaining from the gift shops; what i smelled was not the fresh mountain air, but stinking suffocating smoke coming out of small dirty restaurants. moreover, i could not understand why the lovely monkeys living there had to take photos with tourists all day; why the beautiful butterflies and flowers had become lifeless samples in shop windows; why the strongest impressions i had was trash scattered everywhere on the ground.
however, this is not the end of the story. before i left emei, i met a group of kids in an ecotourism program with the slogan: “experiencing, learning and protecting.” when i saw their young hands picking up trash from the ground, when i felt their enjoyment and harmonious relationship with the animals, when i found their purest eyes filled with passion and love for nature, i realized to my great satisfaction that there doesn't have to be a tradeoff between tourism and ecology, because deep within us is an inclination toward natural beauty and a desire to protect it. yes, environmental problems will eventually ease with the advancement of science and technology and improvement of our management system. however, an increase of ecological education and hands-on environmental involvement of our fellow citizens will do even better. to realize this, the best way for us lies in tourism itself because nothing other than nature can teach us how to love and cherish our sweetest home. at the end of my speech, please let me quote bob dylan:
how many roads must a man walk down before you call him a man?
how many times must a man look up before he can see the sky?
how many years can a mountain exist before it's washed to the sea?
the answer, my friend, is not in the wind-the answer is ours! thank you!
