When I was a little girl,I often want to give up study instead play my father will told me "Perseverance is the golden key to being successful in anything you 's a matter of hanging on long afte others have quit" I was a teenager I like to make track for a star,and like images like,including dress my Dad always tell me that"Be what you are, not what you aren't,because when you are what you aren't,then you aren't what you are" of the things are inspired me so much.
Sometimes,I think my father was a philosopher,sometimes think he is a activists,always set an example for his child ,do what a father should is always working hard to feed large family, he is always considerate to forgive his naughty children,moreover he filial piety to the old person,to repay parents' brought up. In a word, he always so good.
Of course he's not a iron man,he also has a fragile, but he never lose self,and 's more, when I meet with some troubles and want to give up, he always encourage me.I still remember what he told me "perseverance overcomes almost you fall, perseverance tells you get you are defeated,perseverance tells you to try again you feel like quitting, perseverance doesn't let you".
Nowadays, I am an adults,and as a college student,I always unavoidably depending on my father, I often call to my father to ask some questions, meanwhile I also want to know how are they recently I start my college life followed with my fathers use of my dear father,I know how important to be myself.I have to be true to myself, because the only important thing in life is what you do with the time on spend here in I'll always be optimistic and happy in the following ,as my father told me,just be perseverance to do everything. So that I can do anything I wish to create my future!

The process of climbing is hard, but the scenery of the top is different than it in the bottom of the order to see the scenery of the top, we must overcome all difficulties bravely thing easy to say , but difficult to do. The peak looks so far away from our, the leg is so painful, and others say that, forget it, you can't climb up, quickly stop and rest.
So, the higher of the mountain, the fewer people. But, could we give up the scenery of the peak? although Success is far away, but there it is, it hands to us ,and encourage us to persist a while, the most beautiful scenery will belong to us. So, no matter how tired, no matter how hard, we still adhere to the teeth, until success. Like Chris Gardner, in order to survive, to his son, he works very hard, although so tired that even want to give up, but he knew, giving up is a thorough failure, means coming back to the origin, losting hope at the same time. You got a dream, you gonna protect it. When we at the most hard time, hold on for a moment, will be the most beautiful scenery.

It was a long four years. Even after I had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say I hadn’t truly graduated. There had been a mistake and there was just one more class I needed to take. I was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a bad dream. In reality, I had completed every course needed for my degree, and I was a full-fledged college graduate!
Now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. Sometimes a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. Often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. You’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!
During my senior year of college, I had toyed with the idea of changing my major. At that point, I had finally discovered what captured my heart. But, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. So, I took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. That would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and I just wasn’tready to tackle that. Having completed my B.C. degree, I didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education.
So, I did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing I was sure that I didn’t want to do! I detested the office policies, the suits I had to wear and the downtown environment that I had to drive to every day. I knew this was not where I belonged.
But god knew what path my career was to follow. A position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so I applied. This was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where I found myself. The position required that I work Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Perfect, I thought! I could keep my office job Monday through Friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. This arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and I was able to resign from my office job.
Over the next few years, I worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. I found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. I would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. Here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that I did——health and fitness. Yet again, god had other plans for my in two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. And, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. And, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. One by one we were each laid off.
After trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, I knew what I had to do. Go back to school!thanks!
I enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation(準備). But life in the university is not as satisfactory(滿意) as what I had expected. I become lazy and don't want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I don't know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.
Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I don't want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer(志願者) for five 's very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I can't reach its demand and it's very diffcult,but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will,there is a way.(有志者事竟成)"I think my dream can come in the university I mature,and in the university I prepare for the real world.
At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they path to dreams may not be smooth(平滑) and wide,even some sacrifices(犧牲) are hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."
Opportunities and Challenges
Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen!
I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 20xx Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 20xx Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar. Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.
It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life，during which one's mental and physical states are at their peaks. It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of changes and rapid developments. In addition，one is less likely to be under great pressure from career，family and health problems when young. Therefore，a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.
Of course，we all know：no pains，no gains. If we don't make every effort to make good use of the advantages youth brings us，it is impossible to achieve any goals. As students，we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

幾乎所有人都知道中國有一句老話:少壯不努力,老大徒傷悲.通過閱讀歷史,我們從一個又一個的案例當中得知,這句話被證實是真確的.

What is friendship
What is friendship? It is to relate with somebody without need for money or objective. It is to need emotion and over wealth is friendship , no matter what their background , age , or personality.
Friendship can be pure. We hear , nowdays, however, how one can be cheated by friends. Many people get along with someone because they have a lot of money. It is doultful that is real friendship.
Having friends, one can be find happiness. If you are in trouble your friends will help you through or at least comfort you. When you are happy , they share it with you. They are also there for you to chat with at any time.
It is a wonderful feeling, as the proverb says" to love each other is easy but to make frieds is hard", So, it is crutial that we should get along with our friends. In my opinon ,it is a shame to deceive your friends . The world would be more beautiful if it was full of filled with friendship.
Not long after an old Chinese woman came back to China from her visit to her daughter in the States， she went to a city bank to deposit the US dollars her daughter gave her。 At the bank counter， the clerk checked each note carefully to see if the money was real。 It made the old lady out of patience。
At last she could not hold any more， uttering。 "Trust me， Sir， and trust the money。 They are real US dollars。 They are directly from America。"

The word wealth always reminds people of money and the sayings or conceptsrelated to money. AtNew Year”s time, the god of wealth is worshiped and the picture of the god iscovered with signs of money. When a millionaire is walking in the street, peoplewill show their profound respect even though they know very well that they cannot get a cent from him. The English film “the Million-Pound Note” makes a mostvivid revelation of this situation. With the million pound note in hand, thehero has the privilege to buy on credit, or on loan and is even presented moneyfrom others. It”s an idealized end of the story that the hero is still loved byhis girl friend even after he lost his million-pound note. However, withoutthe million-pound note, they couldn”t have known each other. It”s very difficultfor people to make friends directly with beggars.
The song of “All Good Things Must End” in A Dream of the Red Mansionsattacks the money worshipers by saying:
“All men long to be immortals
yet silver and gold they prize
And grub for money all their lives
Till death seals up their eyes”
But when Chen Shih-yin tries to expound this song by analyzing theinconstancy of human relationships and the incomprehensible human heart, he hasto say:

The conclusion is that it doesn”t work without money.
In spite of the human civilizations over thousands of years, people can notdeny the function of money. This shows how important money is. Money plays adecisive role to individuals, to families and even to countries ornationalities. Otherwise, why is everyone, from doorkeepers to presidents,trying to earn as much as possible Why does every country need Chancellors ofthe Exchequer, who keep formulating and revising financial laws and regulationsHow different it is to be a creditor nation and a debtor nation! The UnitedStates is playing the tyrant just because it is wealthy enough. A poor man maycherish lofty aspirations, but will probably be beaten because of his Afghanistan may have won a lot of sympathy, but how difficult it would be tolive solely on charity.

hello! my dear friends !do you like reading books? i guess all of you will say yes. am i right? thanks to books, we have got a lot of knowledge. on the other hand, tv is another way of getting knowledge. i still remember: last year, i watched an exciting speech on tv. it was given by american president obama, i could feel his great charm. i admire him. yeah, at that time i made a decision: i try to learn english well and some day i can have a talk with him. however, it’s a pity that my english is not so perfect. what can i do? how can i do it? ah, so much to learn. don’ t lose heart! just do it! i say to myself aloud. if you set up your mind to learn it, you will get much knowledge. i am sure you will achieve your goal.
