Today I’d like to share my personal experience of happiness and bitterness of being an English teacher. I remember, five years ago, when I stood at the teacher’s desk for the first time, maybe because I was too young, maybe because I was too inexperienced, the students in my class paid no attention to me, didn’t behave themselves at all. I felt ashamed and helpless.
In order to save my face, I just criticized the students seriously whenever they talked in class or even moved a little. I thought sooner or later, they would listen to me.
Yes, I could control the class now, but the students and the atmosphere became strange. No, they were not listening to me. It was too quiet. The breathless silence urged me to consider the way I was teaching.
Then 1 August 20xx, I got the chance to study the New Course of English. Until then could I realized that it was my frozen eyes that make the students flinch, it was my stiff face that trod out the enthusiasm in the children’s hearts. How to stimulate my class and show my warmth, so that they can enjoy their study in English? I had a deep thought.
It’s smile. There is a kindness called smile. It is the most beautiful language in the world. It can make distance no distance. “Just awake the students with a smiling face!”I said to myself. The next day, when I stood on the stage with a smiling face, when I asked the questions with a smile, when I encouraged the children in a friendly way, the students were just shocked!
But I could find there was more happiness and excitement in their eyes!
Gradually, they got used to it, and participated in my teaching. As I predicted, that class became a lovely one. I was moved, and said“Thank you for listening, boys and girls!”
In the following days, I keep on working even harder. I prepare my lessons carefully. I use Flash, pictures, riddles, and interesting stories to make great efforts to help the students to learn more. But I will never forget one thing: smile, give them a smile, to give them strength, to let them feel happy, to make them confident. The children do enjoy the English lesson now, when they tell me the answers in great excitement, I can feel their gladness, and my smile is more sincerely than ever!
There is kindness called smile. From the children’s yearning eyes, I understand, it is smile that makes my students and I get closer, it is smile that fills the kindness to my English class, it is smile that shapes me popular English teacher finally. That’s all. Thank you very much!
So many people underestimate the power and importance of a smile， that simple little facial expression characterized by an upward curving of the corners of the mouth.
A smile has many meanings: pleasure， friendliness， welcome， amusement， and many more; and it is part of a universal body language that doesn’t need any extra interpretation.
Plus a smile， with all its simplcity and beauty， can be a very important factor in many aspects of our lives:
You fall in love with a new country you visit because its people greet you with a welcoming smile everywhere you go; other countries you just don’t like even though they might have more history， nature， entertainment and whatnot because their people don’t seem so friendly or accepting.
You feel like buying from a certain store when the vendor welcomes you in with a smile， sometimes even if you wouldn’t intially have bought anything; and in other stores， even though they have exactly what you need or better， you decide to walk away because the vendor doesn’t look welcoming at all.
You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile， even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand， sometimes you’ll have some of the best food ever， but you won’t feel like giving the waiter a tip， even if you do， because he was grumpy.
More and more examples from our everyday life show how much a simple smile can change everything.
Forever engraved in my mind will be the smiling faces of the people of Thailand， the friendly pizza delivery boy， the welcoming supermarket vendor， the nice cashier at the bank， …etc.
It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back， and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view， if we break it down using business sense， a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.
On top of all that， a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do， so it amazes why no one bothers to do it， it not only makes the person in front of you better， but it also makes you feel better as well， and I’m not making this up， it has been psychologically proven.
Personally， I’d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country， in companies， government agencies， restaurants， hotels， banks， everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this， and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports， hospitals， hotels…etc.
Let’s all simply smile.

dumpling is a traditional chinese food. On the lunar new year' s day most families make a lot of delicious dumplings. To make them follow this easy process.

The first step is to mix the flour with water. when the dough is ready we can begin to make dumpling wrappers. we use a rolling pole to roll the dough into small thin and round pieces so that they will be easy to cook. when the wrappers are done it' s time to prepare the filling. Usually we use meat such as beef or mutton and some vegetables such as cabbage or carrots for may actually choose whatever you like to put into it. we must chop those things into small put some salt oil and other condiments into it and stir it evenly. When all these preparations are done we can start making dumplings. First put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper. Then stick the two opposite sides together and then the rest. Don' t just cover the filling with the wrappers. The best shape of dumplings is that of a ship because when they are boiling in the pan they look like ships sailing in the sea. The smell can make your mouth water.

This is Li Hua from Senior Three. I’m here today to share with you a good lesson from an overseas Chinese student living in Germany. It is a true story.
After years of hard work, this Chinese student graduated with amazing academic achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”
What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times.
From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy.

As we all know,smoking is not only bad for our health,but also bad for our efore,our govrenment has publish an ban about forbid people smoke at the public place form 20xx.1.1,including the indoor pulic placces,indoor public workplaces and pulic transport ban will first come into power in the medical system.
In order to make this ban come into power,we should do what we can to reduce the behavior of smoke around can put up some posteres at public places to aware people this is no-somking aps the most important ,and most easyist thing that we can do is we won't be a smoker.
It has a long and hard way to forbid somke,but I believe that if everyone follw this ban and take a googd care of their behavior,we will have a clear sky soon.
With the development of society, the tourism has already become one style of daily life. More and more people spend their holiday on traveling.
However, the uncivilized behavior in tourism was often exposed by the media. For example, leaving some notes on the sites to express he has been here, but it can damage cultural relic which is always priceless. I remember several months ago, a Chinese tourist left some notes on a relic in Egypt and the relic has a history of more than one thousand years. What a pity! When I heard this thing, I feel very ashamed. Because it will not only tarnish our country’s image but also damage the priceless relic.
Other uncivilized behavior like smoking in public place, throwing garbage anywhere, speaking loudly in public place and jumping a queue will also make a bad impression in the public. But I think these bad habit can be reformed easily if people can realize them.
Yesterday I got a piece of information about uncivilized tourism. The news said that four people have been punished by our country because of their uncivilized behavior in tourism. Their name have been in the blacklist which will keep for five to ten years. So how the blacklist works? Let me tell you. If someone’s name is in the blacklist, it will be forbidden travelling for a period, maybe five years or ten years. I think the blacklist will works well.
Travelling can relax us. But I think civilized tourism can enjoy our life better.
We are not going to evade that responsibility. We are going to let peopledown. And people, far and near, will hear of us. Over the past Spring Festival, I got involved in a family dispute. Rightbefore I got home, four satellite channels of CCTV were added to the 14 channelswe had already had. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the , as you might imagine, I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she’d say, “This is no picnic for me either, buster.” (Laughter.)So I know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I’m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I’m here because I want to talk with you about your education and what’s expected of all of you in this new school at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.
Today, I have a speech for everyone, "I grew up with books." Book, allowing you more intelligent; books, textbooks can not tell you things. After reading a book, like a piece of mining wealth. As you book the most loyal friends, but also a one of your other textbooks, books, can tell you that learning, knowledge, life insights, the book that lets you knowledgeable.
What kind of books to choose, often vary from person to person. We can according to their own interests and hobbies, choose suitable reading materials. Of course, a person's interests and hobbies can be adopted to develop the study.

Imagine a car without a steering wheel. Tough to imagine, right? Well, actually that’s the image you see if a person has no faith. Faith helps to guide us in our lives, encourage us to persist, and give directions when we are lost.
In this peaceful era, our life paths seem to be already well-planned and determined. What we have to do is to follow. Yes, we may face different sorts of challenges, but at least they are less harsh when compared to those in the past. We do not need to worry about starving to death, or how to earn enough money to buy food for our siblings and sustain our lives.
It is like driving from a muddy road into a highway. In the muddy road, path, you would say, as it is formed only by crossing on it many times, flattening the ground to form a smoother area so we can pass. The road is so bumpy and rough, with holes here and there and rocks lying all over. When we drive along this road, we have to be very careful, having a firm grip on the steering wheel, ready for a sudden turn or a large boulder that may appear any second. However, when we drive on a highway, everything becomes different. The road is smooth, straight, and visible. Since there is no unseen obstacle, we may lower our guard, relax a bit, and loosen our grip on the steering wheel. One may even think, if we only have to drive on a smooth straight road like this highway, why would we need a steering wheel?
Nevertheless, one cannot foresee the future. Accidents do happen. For example, a car may suddenly appear in front of you. At such times, if you did not have the steering wheel, how could you make a sudden turn? Just as no one could foresee the Sichuan Earthquake nor the Japan Tsunami. If the one being trapped under the debris did not have faith, he/she would not have survived until being rescued. If we did not have faith, we could not recover from our sadness and rebuild our home.
Faith is unique, just as happiness is. We feel happy for different reasons, we believe for different things. How can we know what we believe in? Recall the last time you are discouraged, and you felt you had lost all hopes in your life. What pulled you back into the world? What pushed you to stand up and continue to strive again? That is your faith, your belief. Faith is what makes you feel you can when others say you can’t.
Faith is important…, faith is vital…, faith is necessary for us to live our lives. If we do not have faith, we are like a car without a steeling wheel. We can only afford to move along a straight and smooth path, and cannot meet any challenge in our lives. One must understand that no matter how smooth the road is, it is impossible for a car to go without a steering wheel. Or, put it in another way, have you ever seen a car without a steering wheel on the road? One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmentalissues is the difference in individual nations view and policies towardenvironmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur andsucceed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to internationalstandards and supervision by an international mission elected by theparticipating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by thestandards established。
The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the wellbeing of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international inscope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address suchenvironmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of theozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditionsof the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just thosethat ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individualenvironmental problems。

It is 20 years since the City of Taizhou was set up. Our city has become richer and people feel happier. Recently, all of us are talking about how to be civilized students in our ol.
In my opinion, we should be polite to our parents and help them do more housework at home. At school, we should respect our teachers, get on well with our classmates and study hard. We should also obey traffic rules. When the traffic lights are red, we should stop. When we wait for a bus, we should wait in line. Don't throw litter or spit in public. What Caused The Financial Crisis? I think we can sum up the cause of our current economic crisis in one word GREED. Over the years, mortgage lenders were happy to lend money to people who couldn t afford their mortgages. But they did it anyway because there was nothing to lose.
These lenders were able to charge higher interest rates and make more money on sub-prime loans. If the borrowers default, they simply seized the house and put it back on the market. On top of that, they were able to pass the risk off to mortgage insurer or package these mortgages as mortgage-backed securities.
Easy money! and what went wrong with our financial system? The whole thing was one big scheme. Everything was great when houses were selling like hot cakes and their values go up every month. Lenders made it easier to borrow money, and the higher demand drove up house values. Higher house values means that lenders could lend out even bigger mortgages, and it also gave lenders some protection against foreclosures. All of this translates into more money for the lenders, insurers, and investors.
