I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed-we hold theses truths to be self-Oevident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, sons of former slaves and sons of former slave owners will be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood. Ladies and Gentlemen: My topic is Honesty.
As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman,the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’stooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. Heoften visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there,which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted oneto keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had toleave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one ofthe teeth from the dragon’s mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at havingstolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on hisconscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decidedto put right his childish error. In 20__, he visited Qingdao and returned it tothe Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported onhis visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I thinkto err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correctone’s error.
Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep anhonest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of myfriends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.

Over the past Spring Festival, I got involved in a family dispute. Rightbefore I got home, four satellite channels of CCTV were added to the 14 channelswe had already had. In prime time at night, they all had interesting efore, the five of us-my parents, my sisters and I-had to argue over what towatch. If I were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention; Iwould let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse, your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

Once, when I was in Sicily, I was swindled by a stranger for a hundreddollars. At first I was devastated. As a popular saying goes, Time is money. But does time definitely meanmoney? I don't think so. First of all, time is more precious than money. Whenmoney is spent, you can earn it back if you want to.
