Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions:

Youth
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

60歲長者也好，16歲少年也罷，每個人的內心深處都渴望奇蹟，都如孩子一般眨著期待的雙眼，期待著下一次，期待著生活的情趣，你我靈魂深處都有一座無線電中轉站------只有你我年輕，則總能聽到希望的呼喚，總能發出喜悅的歡呼，總能傳達勇氣的訊號，總能表現出青春的活力………
一旦青春的天線倒下，你的靈魂即為玩世不恭之雪、悲觀厭世之冰覆蓋;即使你年方20.其實你已垂垂老也。而只要你青春的天線高高聳起，就可以隨時接收到樂觀的電波-----即使你年過八旬，行將就木，而你卻仍然擁有青春，你仍然年輕。
You may wonder if I believe in afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife. But I do hope there’s afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. I have so many dreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns. If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!

當我們面對一個遠大的目標時，如果沒有持之以恆的精神，半途而廢，那麼結果顯而易見！不會達到成功的彼岸。可見，一種持之以恆，堅持不懈的精神所具有的偉大的力量。古今中外，多少名人志士的成功都是我們最好的典範。他們正是經過了一遍一遍的努力，持之以恆學習，才修成正果！醫學家李時珍自小立志醫學，對醫學難題不斷地思索與實踐。他翻山越嶺，不怕嚴寒酷暑，尋求醫道，用了30餘年的時光，終於完成醫學鉅著《本草綱目》，成為一代醫學名家。
國畫大師齊白石從小刻苦勤奮，對繪畫的學習和創作能持之以恆，堅持一生，終於成為一代國畫大師！戲劇家莎士比亞的成才故事也是被人們津津樂道。他自幼家貧，卻刻苦勤奮，不畏世俗和現實的壓迫，執著地用他手中的筆，寫出了《哈姆雷特》、《羅密歐與朱麗葉》等不朽的戲劇大作。後人稱讚他的劇作為不屬於一個時代，而屬於所有的世紀。
居里婦人曾說，我們必須要有恆心！我們必須相信，我們的天賦是要用來做某種事情的。無論代價多麼大，這種事情必須做到！我們應該能從以上的故事中，深刻的理解持之以恆，勤奮學習的價值！可見，只有持之以恆的努力，才可能走向成功。在我們學習中同樣也是如此。只要持之以恆，勇攀高峰，不輕言放棄，就一定會學有所成，實現我們美好的理想！
我們今天還只是個平凡簡單的小學生。
但是我們應該學習前輩們持之以恆的精神，從一點一滴做起，培養良好的學習習慣，並且堅持不懈的努力！總有一天，我們會用炙熱的熱情，去譜寫生命的華彩樂章，實現我們奮鬥的目標！

成長的滋味到底是什麼呢？這是一個不的答案。在成長的過程中我體會到了，也品味到了。成長中，我們不斷地觸碰著新鮮的事。童年時，在父母愛的港灣裡遊玩，邁進圖書室裡，我又被一篇篇文章所吸引，從中讀了陸游的悲，李白的狂，但我仍在吟誦，仍在想，像在午夜微醒時聆聽窗外隨風而來的鈴聲，又像在月牙高升時觀賞閒適萬種的睡蓮。這讀書中的快樂，又豈是這隻言片語所描繪？
漸漸我已長大，幸福快樂更如雲集般而來。生日聚會上盡情盡興地狂舞，田間夏令營的篝火都留下說不完的快樂！雖然涉世未深，但是我自有我的快樂。走出戶外，把摩肩接踵的街市和背後的嘈雜全都拋到九霄雲外去了，走出喧囂，看看書外的景緻，春有小雨如甘泉，冬有大雪如鵝毛，還有風中雨中的回憶如貝雕。走出校園，才知道這是我成長中的快樂。
也許有人會問，你的成長就都是快樂嗎？有沒有煩惱，有沒有失敗？當然有，不過，在我看來，失敗挫折猶如一枝青橄欖，初嘗酸澀，細品甘甜，人們常說，滄桑是一種美，都是歷盡滄桑才能體味真正的人生，這挫折和失敗就是人們在生活中摸爬滾打留下的創傷與皺紋嗎？記得有位哲人說過：“人活著就要犯點錯誤，犯錯誤就是長見識。”其實，挫折和失敗是送給人們的禮物，它將給人們帶來幸福和成功，這不正說明失敗也是一種快樂嗎？

今天我以一個九年級畢業生和學生會副主席的身份，做在兆麟初級中學最後的演講。三年了，國中的生活結束了，三年的生活如刀如風如劍，來也匆匆，去也匆匆，時光悠悠，歲月悠悠。三年的生活中，你可能痛悲自己，痛心自己，痛恨自己，也可能怨老師，愛老師，狠老師，這些生活的點滴，將揮之而去，成為我們的記憶。我們看到凱哥正襟危坐，忙碌中透著愛護，葛老西服革履，冷漠中透著關懷。盛夏的`清風像一罈老酒把麟園的樹，麟園的人灌得有些微醉，今天我們將邁著小醉步，拿著信念這張舊船票，登上會考的客船。
