I recently decided that this puzzle had remained unsolved for too long， andresolved to find an explanation. (In the grand tradition of science， I refusedto be discouraged by the basic irrelevance of my cause.) But the truth that Iuncovered is more shocking and fantastic than I could have ever imagined. Myprocedures， observations， and conclusions are as follows:
First， to verify that the problem exists， experimental and control loads oflaundry were completely processed (put through the washer and dryer). 從小由於父母對我的重視，注重全方面素質的培養。但由於生活地區的落後，沒有優良的學習條件去鍛鍊自己，但這並沒有阻止我對知識的渴望。每到假期定會長驅外地從師學習，經過幾年的努力，20__年我以會考全市第三的成績被__一中錄取，並進入試驗班使我從一個落後閉塞的小縣城來到了這所省級示範高中，這為我日後的發展與進步開發了更加廣闊的空間。然而，前進的道路上並不總是一帆風順，由於地區教育水平的差異，再加上對高中學習的不適應，在高一的第一次考試中就名落孫山，僅排到了年級三百多名，這對於一向名列前茅的我，無疑是一個晴天霹靂。看著手中落後的成績，想著自己有可能滾動出試驗班的結果，心中積壓已久的壓力、自尊心深深的傷害，頓時間化作一行熱淚從眼眶湧出。瑟瑟的秋風，沉重的空氣，本來熱鬧非凡的校園彷彿只剩下了我自己。但我並沒有因此而放棄，而是細心地分析、總結自己失敗的原因;

我每天上學都要經過西電，校園裡樹木很多，我經常能聞到綠樹青草的香味，而一旁古樸的教學樓更讓這個校園顯得優雅，久而久之我也就對這所佇立在鬧事之中卻能保持它原有氣息的高校產生了濃厚的興趣。後來，我開始檢視有關電子科技大學的資料。
我漸漸瞭解了關於這所高校的歷史沿革、辦學理念和學科設定等一系列情況。我知道了電子科技大學是以資訊與電子學科為主，工、理、管、文多學科協調發展的全國重點大學，是國家“211工程”立項建設的重點高校之一。而且學校匯聚了一支政治素質優良、學術水平高、結構合理的教師隊伍。最讓我感到興奮的是“神五”、“神六”飛船副總設計師楊巨集等一大批IT行業領軍人物和技術骨幹原來都是電子科技大學培養出來的。

Humanity has helped Drama so much to produce narrative of such calibre, and characters of such depth and poise – characters, which can be as sweet and innocent, or can take the more disgusting side of what being a human is, being as evil as what thought possible
Performance Art explores the whole range of human emotion and can produce tremendous performances and visual experiences and with Drama, in particular, we can go further than flesh and blood and express ourselves as somebody else and take on this ‘mask’. The most profound thing I have found when studying Drama is that we can become any person in the entire world, and still be us
I have always had a love for the performing arts since I can remember; for there has never really been anything else I have ever wanted to do apart from act. But acting is not just a subject to study people, narratives or social issues – we can discover so many things about ourselves, why we perform a character this way: is it because this person is so much like us? There have been numerous qualities I have discovered about myself while participating in drama. In teaching, I have learn how to really connect with people and help them to explorer what their feelings produce and more notably, how we learn about others, about a single person just by the way they say a monologue
Teaching has been a great experience for me because it has given me the time to evaluate my own performance and teaching skill, learning to become that character just a little but more. This has also been enhanced by the performances I have taken part in, learning to work together in teams to realise the dream of the narration and the vision of the director (for nothing really exists without the vision or image)
While experiencing other aspects of the Performing Arts, I have found that is has increased my performance skill on whole and expended my knowledge on the performance world greatly, Dance, Art and English all focusing on similar issues such as the Commedia dell’arte, Henrik Ibsen, Physical Theatre and Movements and philosophies. These subjects have greatly complemented my time in Drama, and increased my confidence and ability in being a performer. Being involved in 5 consecutive school productions, 2 amateur productions, teaching experience and a student has really influence me concerning the determination I will put into a career in Drama and Acting, and just working with these people and directors have really bettered me in the way I act, see myself and carry on with my life. "All I know about leadership I learned from . . ." What items could a person use to describe leadership qualities?
Inspired by the student council advisors at my high school.
Student council was a big part of my life in high school. I have participated in it since my frst year of high school. When I frst joined， I was quiet， na?ve， and unwilling to participate in many activities. I was scared to meet new people and afraid to apply myself. This all began to change. Half way through my frst year in student council， one of the advisors can up to me and asked why I did not participate that much. I did not have an answer for her and did not know how to respond. After this， I began to think of an answer. I became frustrated and decided to change. I started to show up at events and had a great time. I realized I loved this and wanted to start leading these activities. In my sophomore， junior， and now my senior year of high school， I asserted myself and took on a strong leadership role in student council. I did not fgure out the answer to why I was so reserved until this year with the help of this question.
When I looked up leadership in the dictionary， it said that it was the capacity to lead and the act or instance of leading. These are two very broad defnitions of leadership. Many people have different notions of what this word actually means. When I was challenged to use different items to describe what leadership actually is， I thought this was going to be a hard and obnoxious task. What could I learn from comparing leadership to a stuffed animal or a rubber chicken? But when I sat down to come up with a couple of answers， I realized that leadership could be compared to almost anything a person wants.
All I know about leadership I learned from a calculator. A calculator can add everything together to come up with the best answer. It can delet e what is unnecessary and only include what is important. It can solve any type of problem. These are all important equalities a leader has to have. A leader has to be able to add all of the ideas together to make the best possible plan. Leaders have to know how to decipher the good and the bad out of an idea. They have to be versatile and know how to deal with different types of issues.
All I know about leadership I learned from a ball. A ball is able to bounce back up after it is dropped. It is round and has no creases. A ball can be thrown back and forth to different people. All of these qualities are also leadership qualities. A leader has to be ready for every situation that is thrown at him or her. He or she has to be able to bounce back from any setbacks and never dwell on the past. Leaders have to exhibit many qualities and never be closed-minded about a situation. A leader must be able to delegate when he or she cannot get the work done. They have to trust everyone they lead to be able to "catch the ball" and keep a project rolling.
This activity made me realize that being a leader is so much more than just having authority and having the ability to take control of a situation. A leader has to be trusting of all the people he or she leads and， leaders must be able to combine ideas into one encompassing idea. They cannot sit in the background and watch events happen; they have to jump in and be involved. They should not delegate all their responsibilities away.
Leadership is more than what the dictionary says it is.
I learned through all of this that I have many of these qualities.
I have the ability to solve problems， lead through adversity， and be versatile. From answering this question， I realized that I could lead effectively， even if my leadership style is different from other individuals. When I joined student council in my frst year of high school， I did not have these qualities because I was never put into a situation where I had to lead. I was too reserved to try. When I tried， I learned that I could succeed in this. I did not realize until I answered this question about leadership. I was never able to see that being a leader is not just about taking control of a group and telling everyone what to do When I was a freshman， I thought leadership was this. I did not know that did not have to be forceful and strict. I stereotyped a leader then. Thisis where I went wrong. A leader is about being yourself and never letting anyone change you. I thought I had to change to be a good leaderOnly when I expanded my comfort zone did I realize this was not trueIt only took three years and a silly question/game to fgure this out.

Onesimple example is that of the ability of an employee to act independentlywithout direct instructions from his or her boss. In many Chinese organizations，acting without direct instructions is considered a form of disrespect towardsthe supervisor， who is generally offended by such behavior. In my experience andresearch， such organizations tend to have low operating efficiency with theemployees losing their innate ability to take the initiative.
I am a person keen on thinking and experiencing. My lively character andvigorous energy have made me very active in extracurricular events in which Ihave sought an all-round personal development. Sociology Studies will provide mewith the kind of constant real life thinking I have always craved, while helpingme to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. Also myconcern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue thissubject for my higher education, as I believe Sociology Studies sums up a lot inthe changing nature of society.
My education has schooling my perception of society and people leading meto be acutely aware of social events, inequality, identities, cultures andreligious fundamentalism, especially in a society such as the one I come from -China. I was practicing in the Chinese Hope Project during summer holidays andvolunteered to investigate the issue of low educational attendance rate forfemale students in rural China with my tutor from my high school and that was avery good experience as it not only made me realise how traditional culturalinfluence could remain unchanged in some of those rural areas in China and alsothe way parents and children interacting. I always have wondered why for manyChinese students just like me, hundreds of them fail to choose what they reallywant to student and do as a career. Chinese parents are definitely havingstrange influences on their kids' decision making in terms of education andcareer or in the worst cases; the parents decided what their kids should dosolely. My mother believes that I should go for Finance studies, while I clearlyknow that my interest has never been in the Mathematical formulas and numbers, Ialways find the diversities of societies, people, beliefs, cultures and the waypeople interacting together very fascinating. So, during this summer, mythoughts kept returning on why I worked so unsuccessfully towards studyingfinance and economics as my mother expected? And how can I truly become my ownmaster by progressing a BA that I really like to engage more research and enrichmyself with? How did all the cultural and beliefs affecting the way we actingthe roles in the community? In which way an individual could actually build upand refine his/her identities?
In pursuing a Sociology degree, I seek answers to these questions. Athorough examination of the Sociology behind human behaves could reveal thebeliefs,values and identities; it enables us to exam and understand ourselvesbetter. While knowledge of Sociology will certainly benefit the social servicesproviding, I also maintain a passion for Culture Studies for that same ural behaviour study appeals to me because it tells us why we act in acertain way - under a cultural atmosphere. Also for being in the UK for 3 years,the knowledge about the outside world has given me a unique and balancedperspective to examine the reality of Chinese society too. In this historicalepoch in which China is becoming closely integrated into the internationalcommunity and playing an influence role in the world arena, I wish to gaininsights into our society in its socio-culture aspects and to study how Chineseculture can respond to the globalization process.
By combining these thoughts into a good BA in Sociology degree programme, Ican pursue my professional goal of doing education and community service workfor the government and perhaps focusing in promote public welfare. My experiencein the past in social practices has not only equipped me with an intellectualfoundation for my future studies but has also supplied me with my career my eyes, China's several thousand years of history has given rise to thedeep-entrenched rule by man instead of rule by law and nature. In dealing withsuch issues like economic development, poverty elimination and the promotion oflaw, the framing and application of government policies seem to play a greaterrole. Therefore, it is obvious that to contribute to public welfare and tonational development, it is more realistic and useful to become a well-trainedand well-qualified public administrator. In this lies the motivation of myapplication for an undergraduate programme in sociology at your esteemeddepartment.
