The Lantern Festival which occurs on the 15-th day of the First Month of the Chinese Year marks the end of the New Year's Holidays.
Lanterns are everywhere. A most interesting tradition is the posting of riddles called 'Lantern Riddles.' Riddles are written on pieces of paper and posted on lanterns or wall. Any one solving the riddle is awarded a prize. And the food for lantern festival is Tang Yuan i have made some Tang Yuan in a ginger soup my wife got a serious cold so i cooked a pot of ginger soup for her. The most popular type of lantern is the horse-racing one, in which figures or animals rotate around the vertical axis of the lantern.
The special food for the Lantern Festival is Yuen Sin or Tong Yuen. These are round dumplings made with sticky rice flour. They can be filled and served as a sweet snack or made plain and cooked in a soup with vegetables, meat and dried shrimp. The round shape of the dumpling is a symbol of wholeness, completeness and unity.

The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year

On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.
The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.
On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.
The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.
The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.
The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

今天是正月十五元宵節。元宵節是中國的傳統節日。在這一天大家都要吃湯圓，看花燈，猜燈謎。湯圓又叫元宵。奶奶說：“過完元宵節，春節就算過完了。吃了湯圓，大家在新的一年裡團團圓圓，圓圓滿滿!”
可是我們家裡沒有人會做湯圓，媽媽就去超市買了一些回來。有芝麻餡的，有豆沙餡的，還有肉餡的。今年媽媽把煮湯圓的任務交給了我。到了傍晚我就開始煮湯圓了。我按奶奶教的方法：先把鍋裡的水燒開，放下湯圓，然後把火調小。過了一會兒，媽媽讓我往鍋里加一些冷水。沒過多久，可以起鍋了。掀開鍋蓋，只見一個個雪白的湯圓漂在水中，就像一顆顆大珍珠。好誘人啊!
媽媽幫我把湯圓撈到碗裡。我剛把碗端上桌，大家就狼吞虎嚥地吃起來了。不一會兒，就全吃完了。只剩下鍋裡還有一隻。爸爸說：“元宵節要猜燈謎的。我們每人出個燈謎，看誰贏了，誰就獎勵吃這個
湯圓。”大家都贊成這個辦法。可是爸爸出的謎語一下就被媽媽猜出來了。媽媽得意地說：“看來這個湯圓歸我了!”我忙說：“別急，我還沒出謎語呢，這個不算!”大家都驚訝地看著我。媽媽說：“你也會出燈謎?”我說：“你們猜猜看，雨下得太大，把山都衝倒了!是什麼字?”大家猜了半天都猜不出。最後我公佈答案：“是個‘雪’字啊!”
我得到了這個最後的湯圓。太美味了，自己贏來的東西才是最好吃的啊!
元宵節是我國一個傳統的節日，元宵節一過，春節也就過完了，所以這天是非常隆重和熱鬧的。人們在這天的活動主要就是舞龍，舞獅，放鞭炮還要一個更重要的就是看煙花。
晚上7點多，我就急著叫伯母帶我去元宵場看煙花，路上我看到有很多與我一樣想看煙花的人，大家老老小小一家人，顯得十分的高興。
到了元宵場人山人海，鑼鼓齊鳴，可熱鬧了。
只聽見幾聲沉悶的聲音，一個個煙花帶著紅紅的火星竄上了天空，幾聲脆響，夜空綻放出幾朵美麗的花朵。它們的形狀和顏色各不相同，有五顏六色的滿天星，金黃色的蒲公英，紫色的牽牛花，銀色的百合……絢麗多彩。真美麗啊!
在煙花的脆響聲中，人們微微揚起的臉上露出了幸福的笑臉!
元宵節是中國的傳統節日，“吃元宵，鬧花燈，猜燈謎”是這一天的傳統的來歷。
容我先介紹一下元宵節的習俗和來歷吧!農曆正月十五元宵節，又稱上元節。這天夜裡叫“元宵”，它是大地回春的第一個月圓的夜晚。月圓有大團圓的含義，所以應該全家人相聚，共同“鬧元宵。”在這天晚上，家家都要點花燈、吃元宵。元宵節放花燈起源於漢代的永平年間，當時是為了表示對佛教的崇敬，吃元宵的風俗起源於宋代。在南方，元宵又叫湯圓，也寓意團圓。這就是元宵的習俗和來歷，知道了吧!
晚上，我和媽媽坐車前往中山公園，一路上，我看見了許多店家門前都掛著大紅燈籠，有些還掛著形態各異的花燈，燈壁上的圖案被燈光照得閃閃發光，給人感覺那是一盞價值連城的花燈，那種美感實在難以用言語表達。車上的人越來越多，恐怕是去看花燈的吧!到了，快下車!我拉著媽媽的手一下車就直奔向公園，到了正門，遠遠望去，到處是燈光，到處是人影，熙熙攘攘的，熱鬧極了，看來我是不虛此行啊!走進正門，一個大蓬映入眼簾，蓬頂佈滿了霓虹燈，一進去，到處流光溢彩，如同置身於光彩隧道一樣。向右走，兩邊掛著各式各樣的花燈，它們就像一個個窈窕淑女，可謂是“嬌美動人”啊!咦，那是什麼呀?我滿腦打著問號，走進一看，是動畫之城裡的動畫明星啊，他們一個個都是那麼可愛，把我帶進了童年時代看的動畫片中!又走了一段路，瞧，那是一條巨龍，看它的龍鬚多長，從頭到尾，一股英氣感染了我，再看它那挺拔的身軀，真帥!而我們中國人是“龍的傳人”，真棒!欣賞了一段，這時湖邊聚滿了許多人，我擠進去，是它們，你們猜猜?提示一下，跟我們的20xx奧運會有關，猜對了嗎?那就是──奧運吉祥物五福娃，它們擺著引人的姿勢站在燈上，正向我們招手呢!
我還看見人群中的一幕幕：有的買了熒光棒或者熒光球，到處玩耍呢;有的在長椅上休息，一邊賞燈，一邊吃東西、玩樂;有的在大型的花燈前拍照，我想是要留個紀念吧!
一路觀賞完，我和媽媽到海景好又多買東西。出來時，好又多辦了一個猜燈謎活動。我上前看了一張，上面寫著：土，打一數學用詞。我想了一會兒，是……加減法(十加一等於土);又看了一張，“黃絨毛，包似弓，打一食物。”我略加思索，我想到了，你猜猜?是餃子!找服務員一查對了，可惜沒買夠68元，沒能領到獎品。但我的心比吃了蜜還甜!

快樂的元宵節就要到了，在這寒風陣陣的冬天裡，森林裡決定舉辦一個元宵晚會。
在元宵節的前一天，演員綿羊小姐被森林大火燒去了一身潔白的捲毛。
就在關鍵時刻，聰名的猴子想了個極妙的辦法，這時，綿羊小姐和元宵晚會會長才鬆了一口氣。
這天晚上是個星光燦爛的夜晚，晚會開始了，只見綿羊穿著一套由五顏六色的蝴蝶翅膀拼成的時裝。一隻美麗的松鼠纏在脖子上就形成了圍巾。兩隻螢火蟲在綿羊小姐的耳朵上倒掛著就成了夜光耳環。兩隻蝴蝶立在一隻用花朵編成的髮卡上就成了蝴蝶髮卡。在觀眾的歡呼中，綿羊小姐高歌一曲，讓觀眾拍手叫好。接下來每個動物都吃到了美味的湯圓，又為寒冷的冬天增添了一份暖意。
希望在新的一年裡森林裡能更生機勃勃。
大約8點比賽開始了，我被選為擂主的角色參加了這次比賽，比賽一共8輪，我取得了全勝，獲得了第一名。
最精彩的是我和一位醫生下的那盤棋，他的圍棋水平很高，對我來說是一種挑戰，我們勢均力敵，經過我的努力，最終我取勝了，真的太精彩了。
大約9點半，我拿著我最心愛的獎品回家了。我今天過得很快樂。
慶元宵圍棋擂臺賽今天在牌坊街舉行，爸爸媽媽帶我去參加了這次比賽。牌坊街到處人山人海，人們笑逐顏開，到處張燈結綵，呈現了喜洋洋的節日氣氛。
爆竹聲中，迎來了我國傳統的節日——元宵節。
元宵節，元宵節，早晨起床當然該吃一碗熱氣騰騰的元宵。元宵用黏黏的面搓成，有大有小，放在籠裡，毛巾蓋著，鋪著紅紙。煮好的元宵，活像一個個胖娃娃。咬一口，燙燙的黑芝麻滾入心脾，舌頭上留著那種甜蜜蜜的情思和味道，代表著一家和和睦睦的生活。
元宵節又稱“花燈節”，最重要的活動是看花燈，花燈的品種很多，有的是加菲貓形的，尖尖的耳朵，粉紅色的小鼻子，櫻桃似的小嘴。一開啟開關，加菲貓中的風車“呼”的一聲，風車旋轉起來。泡沫球也上蹦下跳的，站在中間拉著小提琴的小女孩還唱著歌：“讓我們蕩起雙槳，小船兒推開波浪……”有的是蜻蜓形的，大大的眼睛，小黑點般的眼珠，薄紗似的飛翼，一節一節的尾巴，只要推一下開頭，蜻蜓綠色的飛翼就有節奏地跳起舞來。我買了一個蓮花形的燈，小巧精緻的蓮花，葉子上白裡透紅，閃著明亮的光。
亞細亞超市的門口有兩條龍，龍頭上戴一顆珠子，兩邊頂著白色的龍角，黑亮的大眼睛，鋒利的牙齒，一副威風凜凜的模樣。今年是鼠年，龍身上站著幾隻神氣十足的老鼠，大大的耳朵，在向我們招手呢……
元宵節猜燈謎也是一個重要的活動，走在南峰服飾廣場裡，到處都是燈謎。“飄雪下雨(打一成語)”，“落花流水”，爸爸興奮地說。“回答正確”售貨員小姐說。“自小在一起，目前少聯絡(打一字)”，會是什麼呢?我苦思冥想，找到了答案：孫。
這個元宵節過得真有趣!
紫姑是民間傳說中一個善良、貧窮的姑娘。正月十五，紫姑因窮困而死。百姓們同情她、懷念她、有些地方便出現了“正月十五迎紫姑”的風俗。每到這一天夜晚，人們用稻草、布頭等紮成真人大小的紫姑肖像。婦女們紛紛站到紫姑常做活的廁所、豬圈和廚房旁邊迎接她，象對待親姐妹一樣，拉著她的手，跟她說著貼心話，流著眼淚安慰她，情景十分生動，真實的反映了勞苦民眾善良、忠厚、同情弱者的思想感情。
正月十五到了，我和我的兄弟姐妹歡聚一堂，我們高高興興地手拉手的來到了文體局——燈會現場。
一看，那兒正在鬧花燈。只見那些阿姨手持扇子，翩翩起舞。她們那輕盈優美的舞姿，讓我們看得眼花繚亂。還有的手中拿著絢麗多彩的小花傘，花傘上下翻飛，緊接著她們團團圍在一起，邊歌邊舞，就像是花朵一樣美麗。接下來，又表演了獅子燈，兩隻獅子爭繡球，它們騰空翻轉，互不相讓。真好看!
後來，我們又來到津五路上看花燈。看，第一個是“雷峰塔”，裡面轉動著畫卷，還有人民幣，我想，這表示祝賀人們在新的一年裡多財、多福、有好運。還有“孔雀開屏”，那孔雀的羽毛五顏六色的，美麗極了!兩旁還有許多丹頂鶴呢!接下來，還有“武松打虎燈”、“牛郎織女燈”、“八仙過海燈”、“海豚戲水燈”、“輝煌三十年”等許許多多的燈，真是看也看不完，說也說不盡。

元宵節前夕，我和外公外婆興致勃勃地來到教工之家。聽外婆說，我們要自己做湯圓吃。我立即興奮得手舞足蹈。
到了教工之家，來到了二樓活動室，那裡已擺好了兩張大桌子，桌上放了幾大袋麵粉和幾個熱水瓶。馬上開工了，首先要和麵。我開啟熱水瓶蓋子往面盆裡倒了些水，但倒的水多了，麵粉幾乎成了麵粉湯。我嘆了口氣，心裡打起了退堂鼓。我想：還是算了吧!雖說這麼想，但我還是堅持了下來。我學著外婆的樣子，好不容易把麵粉搞成一個團，便開始在麵糰上東一揉西一揉的，可沒揉幾下，我的雙手就沾滿了麵漿。我真有點想放棄了，但看到別人做得像模像樣的，我又有點不服氣，決定繼續幹!我灑了一點麵粉在麵糰上，像給麵糰按摩似的，一捏一揉。過了一會兒，可以做湯圓了，我心情異常激動，彷彿自己要幹一件很偉大的事情。因為平時我只吃湯圓，不做湯圓。
我從大面團上揪了一個小麵糰，放在手掌心裡搓著，小麵糰在手掌間滾來滾去，越滾越圓。然後，我把它壓成一個圓片，用勺子舀了一大勺豆沙餡放在上面，接下來就該把面片的邊合攏在一起了。然而，這個口怎麼也合不上。我疑惑了，把手掌上的面片放在眼前仔細端詳了一陣，終於，我找出了原因———別人捏得都很用力。於是，我便使出了吃奶的勁使勁一捏，這一捏可捏砸了，面片裡面的豆沙像火山爆發似的滾了出來!我無奈地笑了笑，搖搖頭。看看別人碗裡早已有好幾個湯圓了，而我卻一無所獲。這時，校長走過來問道：“哎喲，小妹妹，你一個都還沒做成呀?”這句話激起了我的好勝心，我又埋頭做起來……
“開鍋啦，開鍋啦!”我聞聲跑去，好香啊!我們大夥兒圍在鍋前，尋找哪一個湯圓是自己做的。“看看看，這個是我做的，最大!”“我好像做的是這一個。”“那個是不是……”這鍋中的湯圓裡面包的不僅僅是豆沙、肉餡兒，而且還包進了無窮的歡樂啊!
