接受了正統的十二年中國基礎教育，十二年寒窗乏善可陳。國中兩次參加中學生物奧林匹克競賽，分別取得省區一等獎和特等獎。高中三年，平心而論只拼了半年，用減肥八千克換了一張總分623的大學聯考成績單。懷著對生物學的一腔熱情，力排眾議報考了山東大學生命科學學院，並被錄取。
進入大學，發現理想中之自由開放的象牙塔仍遙不可及，但對我來說已經是"如鰍得泥"。雖然與中學相比，課程的負擔不止增加了倍餘，但我更喜歡這種忙碌。基礎課的教學，應該不能算得上理想，我想這是國內多數大學的通病。不過，課程本身的吸引力，遠遠大於我對教學方式的不滿。雖然沒有在拿到全部的優秀，但也算是順利通過。英語輕鬆拿下四級六級，也似小馬過河，不是一件異常恐怖的事情。

說到進化，20xx年的春天，非典疑雲籠罩京城之際，我和幾個朋友受邀到中央電視臺科教頻道與南京大學、天津大學的朋友一起參加關於恐龍滅絕的話題的討論。我們提出的復原恐龍生態模型的觀點得到了著名古生物學家董枝明和甄朔南的一致肯定。從北京趕回濟南後五天，非典隔離開始。同樣因為非典，中央臺的節目錄制陷入停頓，我們的節目"有幸"被重播四次之多，希望我們的觀點能夠得到更多人的認可。
