朋友們，你們認識我嗎?我叫，今年13歲，在XX學校上七年級，在中文學校讀第八冊。我的眼睛很大很有神，我的鼻子高高的，挺挺的，我的耳朵也很大，我的嘴巴不大不小正正好，我的樣子不錯吧!
我做任何事情都很認真，早上起床根本不用媽媽叫，上學一直很準時，從不遲到早退，作業也很認真完成，我很節省，媽媽給我的零用錢，我一分錢也不會花，全都存到我的“小銀行”(存錢罐)，等媽媽有及用的時候，我全都拿出來給媽媽。我非常愛學習，愛讀書。因為一個人不學習讀書就沒有知識，沒有知識就沒有一切。媽媽說知識就是最大的財富，現在我的最大任務就是學習，努力學好各門知識，我的數學特別好，在班上都是數一數二的。我的書法很感興趣，字也寫得不錯，當然還要更加努力。我很喜歡看書，書能夠使我增加很多知識，開闊了我的視野，書永遠是我的老師和最好的朋友。
我跟很多男孩子一樣，喜歡運動，喜歡打電子遊戲。特別是一打遊戲就把什麼事情都忘掉。記得有一次，我在打遊戲，媽媽打了個電話給我說今天自己會晚一點才會回來，叫我先煮飯，我答應了。接著我又去打遊戲了，打著打著就入了迷，把什麼事情都忘了。一直打到媽媽回來才停了下來，媽媽問：“你的飯煮好了沒有?”我才記起自己沒有煮飯。害的大家都沒飯吃。作文
我的性格很內向，不喜歡主動和別人打招呼。媽媽教我很多次，但是我還是跟以前一樣。我就是一個樣的，死性不改。
以後，我一定要看更多的書，學更多的知識，還要改掉這些壞毛病，讓媽媽放心，讓所有的人都喜歡我。
小學生生活結束了，我現在已升入了國中，見到了許多陌生的同學。你們如果想認識我，那我就向你們介紹一下我自己吧。
我的名字叫陳玉鵬。你別看它聽起來普通，意義可大了。鵬是鵬程萬里，說明我的前途遠大。
瘦是男孩們畏懼的事情，可我的身體偏偏就是瘦，所以過去有很多同學都叫我“小不點”其實我個子又小又矮，所以媽媽說我瘦得像根“黃瓜”。媽媽讓我多吃飯，可我依然是每頓只吃一點點。我媽媽常說：“我還沒有姥姥家的小貓咪吃得多呢?”我真後悔不聽媽媽的話多吃飯，要不然能長這麼矮嗎?真是“一失足成千古恨”啊!
不知為什麼，調皮的我愛上了讀書，不過那時讀得都是一些故事書，似懂非懂。後來經過老師的教育，我把課外書的興趣又轉移到課本上，也逐漸愛上作文。
雖然我酷愛文字，卻無文采，喜歡讀書，卻過目便忘。但我從未因此而放棄，因為我堅信功夫不負有心人。除此以外我還有許多愛好，比如喜歡交朋友。雖然缺點很多，卻不乏幽默感。不管在學校學習還是在家裡娛樂，我常用笑話來製造歡樂的氣氛。
10歲那年，我學會了練毛筆字，一年後丟棄，只因無恆心，為此自愧而“無臉見老爸。”爾後，我發奮苦讀，卻不時因貪玩而影響成績。
我最大的缺點就是做事不能堅持到底。就拿攢錢來說吧，過年的壓歲錢就有一百多塊，加上平常的零花錢就有四十多塊。好不容易攢到一百六十多塊，就跑到商店買了一臺MP3，剩下的錢肯定一花而光。
你認識我嗎?我，一雙水汪汪的大眼睛，一個好看的鼻子，在鼻子的下方有一張能說會道的嘴。我喜歡唱歌，畫畫，喜歡站在舞臺上有成就感的自己，喜歡彈琴，喜歡嘗試一切新鮮的事物，跟喜歡樸實的自己。
從小由於媽媽的嚴格管教，我很聽話，凡是見過我的長輩們無不誇我是一個聽話，懂事的好孩子。而在家裡我卻很活潑，很愛笑，喜歡看電視，嬉笑怒罵，無所顧忌。在學校裡時而高談闊論，海吹神侃;時而被某君的妙語連珠逗得哈哈大笑，我身上彷彿放下千斤重擔，一片輕鬆。
我很膽小。記得有一次我媽媽和我在車站接叔叔，在去的路上媽媽安頓我，見了叔叔要問好。到了車站見到叔叔，我卻說不出口。媽媽連忙迎著說：“這孩子不懂事，別見怪。”還有一次，爸爸和媽媽晚上出去，讓我一個人在家。爸爸媽媽走後，外邊躺到床上睡覺，不知怎麼了，天空好像故意和我作對，下起了雨，是我不敢睡覺。這時，外面忽然有了咕嚕咕嚕的聲音，我心裡想：媽呀，小偷來了。於是，我把身子縮在被子裡，動也不敢動。過了一會兒，外面的聲音停止了，我就壯著膽子出來看了看。唉原來是飲水機在作怪。我這才放心的去睡覺。又過了不久，門外突然門鈴響了。哎呀，這下小偷真的來了。我躲在被窩裡打哆嗦，外面傳來了媽媽的聲音：“快開門，我和你爸爸都淋溼了。”哦，原來是爸爸媽媽呀。開啟門，我一臉蒼白，滿頭大汗，媽媽問我怎麼了?我說沒事。如果告訴了他們，準會笑話我一番。
這就是我，一個喜歡唱歌、畫畫、彈琴、有很膽小的小男孩。

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao
Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance

Education background In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program
waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the
department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my

Research experience and academic activity When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast
and began to narrow down my interest for my future research.
With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I
assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product. In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data
